Health and safety

Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of employees and clients is a key concern for organisations of all types. Logic Connect has the tools to help your organisation integrate health and safety into daily activities seamlessly and to respond to emergencies rapidly and efficiently.

Working alone

Logic Connect’s Lone Worker feature is the ideal tool to help protect the health and safety of employees working alone and in potentially hazardous situations. This feature allows users to activate Lone Worker mode on their radio or cellular device and in this mode the user will be prompted by a timer to report in at specified time intervals (for example every hour). If the user doesn't report in, the device will send an emergency alert to Logic Connect, which will then follow the emergency process.

Emergency notification

Logic Connect’s emergency notification feature is designed to ensure a quick, appropriate and effective response to alerts and alarms. This feature is available for use on both Land Mobile Radio or cellular devices via emergency button alarms (soft key or hard fixed key) customised to each clients’ specific requirements.

When a staff member activates the emergency button via their radio or Android device, the feature can be configured to trigger:

+ a visual alert on the web-based user interface, which allows the responder to zoom in on the location of the emergency;

+ an SMS and/or email message to all of your devices, or to nominated responders, including links to the location of the emergency, as well as directions on how to get to the location.

Live notifications regarding the emergency response can be sent via SMS/email messages to notify all other responders of the action taken and let them know when the situation has been resolved.

An audit trail is available for emergencies and can be referenced at a later point for reporting or debrief purposes.

Logic Connect’s emergency feature works in conjunction with other features including voice recording and geofencing to ensure the most accurate information possible is available when any lone worker or team member needs urgent assistance.

Man Down alert

The “Man Down” feature is another proactive safety measure for staff working remotely out in the field. If a radio with the Man Down feature remains horizontal for in excess of a defined time period, this will trigger an alert. If the worker doesn’t respond to this, or if there is a significant impact (g-force), an alarm is automatically sent to a central control centre or another two-way radio.
